In the age of J.I.T. (JUST IN TIME) inventory systems, our customers have continued to demand we find new ways of supplying products to them as needed.  We have continued to look for methods to meet this challenge:

bulletAllying our company with suppliers who have vast inventories of thousands of items in stock which are available for immediate delivery.  They have locations in the Los Angeles and Phoenix areas with redundant supplies.
bulletBy allying our company with raw material suppliers who manufacture corrugated sheet stock for us in as little as two hour lead time.
bulletWe have created programs with accounts who desire it, in which our sales representatives automatically visit customers at regular intervals.  They will do this weekly or even daily if desired, taking an on-site inventory at the customer's location and making order recommendations to the purchasing agent.  For the least amount of effort on the part of the purchasing agent, some of our customers even provide us with open purchase orders.  This enables us to ship products  automatically based on their inventory levels and consumption rates.  It also serves to keep customer inventory levels constant and ensures they will not run out of product.
bulletWe have continued to invest in new technologies and develop new methods in our factory.  This allows us to complete more orders per day and allows us to shorten lead times.  We can then produce smaller orders for the same cost which reduces minimum order quantities for custom manufactured items.  Very often, we are able to produce new custom items for customers on the day their order is placed.
bulletBy owning and operating our own fleet of delivery trucks, rather than using an outside freight carrier, we maintain control over the timing of customer deliveries.
bulletAccounts meeting certain criteria are eligible for a program whereby we make and hold custom products on our floor for immediate delivery when required.  (This program requires minimum use agreements between us and the customer, agreed upon by both parties before the program is initiated).
